Texas law states that any scooter capable of attaining speeds of 30 MPH

How do I get a license? The
best way is to take one of the Motorcycle Safety Courses around the
state--San Antonio has three schools. The class is two days. and is
spent half in the classroom and half on a scooter/motorcycle. You can
bring your own scooter or you can use one of theirs. At the end of the
class, you receive a completion certificate. Take that certificate to
the DPS office and they’ll give you a 15 question test, which you will
pass. From that point forward you’ll have your “M” class license.
